Recertification

WHY YOUR TANK
EXPIRES.

Under U.S. DOT rules a portable propane cylinder must be requalified about 10 years from its date of manufacture, and periodically after that. Once that date passes, a filler can’t legally top it up until it’s been requalified. That’s not red tape — a tank that’s been out in the weather for a decade is exactly the one worth a second look.

Bring yours in and we’ll requalify it on the spot where it’s safe to do so — or tell you straight when a tank has reached the end of its life.

What We Check
  • Manufacture & last-requalification date
  • Rust, pitting and external corrosion
  • Dents, gouges and fire or heat damage
  • Valve, OPD and pressure-relief condition
  • Foot ring, collar and overall integrity
Repair

FIX IT, DON’T
REPLACE IT.

A worn valve or a wobbly foot ring doesn’t mean a new tank. Where a cylinder is sound, we repair the parts that wear out and get it back in service — and where it isn’t, we’ll say so rather than fill something we wouldn’t use ourselves.

OPD & Service Valves

Replacement of overfill-prevention and service valves.

Forklift Valves

Liquid-service valves and dip tubes for forklift cylinders.

O-Rings & Fittings

Gaskets, POL/ACME fittings and connections.

Foot Rings & Collars

Bases, collars and handles re-secured or replaced.

Leak Testing

Every repaired tank is checked before it leaves.

Honest Retirement

Unsafe tanks are condemned, not filled — with a recommendation.
